How long does it take to process Dominica and St. Kitts Citizenship?

It takes up to three months to process Dominica second citizenship and the St. Kitts second passport program takes between four (4) and six (6) months to complete.

Do I have to visit the country of choice to obtain economic citizenship?

There is no standard requirement to visit St. Kitts to obtain economic citizenship, but if it is deemed necessary by the authorities, you will be required to visit for an interview. The Dominica economic citizenship program does have an interview as a standard requirement of the application process, where the main applicant meets with an interview committee appointed by the Prime Minister. For this interview the applicant must be well versed in general information about Dominica. Interviews are carried out in English. Who can be included in the application process for second passport?

For Dominica second passport program spouse and children. The St. Kitts real estate and the Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF) options both allow applicants to include children, with special contribution structures for families with children who are below 18, and children who are older than 18 but less than 25 years of age.

What are the payment arrangements for second passports?

There are no special payment arrangements for second passport programs in Dominica or St. Kitts. Applicants are required to make the stipulated contributions/ investments in full. Only monetary contributions are accepted.

Once citizenship has been granted the application process for a Dominica or St. Kitts passport can commence. A Dominica or St. Kitts passport is issued two (2) weeks after the required documents are submitted.

Citizenship granted through the Dominica and St. Kitts economic citizenship can only be revoked if it is proven that the applicant submitted information which is untrue at any given point of the application process. If the economic citizenship program is stopped, citizenship granted prior to terminating the program cannot be revoked.

Is dual citizenship recognized in Dominica and St. Kitts?

Dominica and St. Kitts allow dual citizenship and does not obligate a new citizen to renounce his/her other citizenship status.

Can children from a previous marriage be included in an application for second citizenship?

Yes they can be included. The guardian/biological parent(s) of these children must present a document stating that he/she has given consent for underage children to be included in economic citizenship application.

How often must St. Kitts and Dominica passports be renewed?

A Dominica or St. Kitts passport issued to an adult is valid for a ten (10) year period after which renewals must be done if the passport is to be used for travel. Passports may be renewed before the 10 year period is up if all pages have been used. Dominica and St. Kitts passports issued to children are valid for five (5) years.
